Shelley + Nick were such a sweet couple to work with! Married at the gorgeous Merrimon-Wynne House in Raleigh, Shelley chose a mixture of pale green, lavender, cream and blue blooms! We just loved how these looked paired with her bridesmaids dresses!

When we said "The Sky's the Limit," we weren't kidding! The Simply Elegant Floral Designs team is growing again and we're currently looking for a Fall Intern to join us.
The perfect candidate would:
Be passionate about being surrounded by beautiful blooms and weddings
Assist in prepping, processing and organizing buckets and buckets of florals each and every week! :)
Have an amazing work ethic, is very responsible and prompt, and thrives working in a team environment
Be comfortable with Pinterest and social media channels
Have reliable transportation (bonus points if it's an SUV!) and a valid driver's license
Have the ability to lift up to fifty pounds of gorgeous florals, vases, candles and more
Be available 10-15 hours per week in September, October and November, including select Saturdays for wedding set-up
Be located in the Raleigh area
This internship offers a $75 weekly stipend and you will gain loads of valuable knowledge and hands-on training in running a floral design business! Depending on our needs, we will happily keep your name on file for future employment opportunities.

Lauren + Mike had a lovely spring wedding this May at Duke Gardens. Pink garden roses, coral charm peonies and craspedia (billy balls) popped against the whites and creams of hydrangea, lisianthus and ranunculus.

Meredith + Ben were married on a sunny day this May at the Visual Art Exchange in Raleigh, with their reception at Humble Pie!
We loved working with Meredith's neutral color palette of whites and ivories! For their reception, the couple used planter boxes built by family filled with plenty of gorgeous blooms.

The sky's the limit these days!!
After starting this journey just a year and a half ago in January 2014, my little business has blossomed beyond my wildest imaginations. And as it continues to bloom, I've realized that in order for Simply Elegant Floral Designs to continue to best serve our lovely brides and clients and grow, I needed to add a new face to my team.
Today I'm thrilled to introduce Ashlee Little, my new Studio Manager + Floral Designer!
Ashlee joins the Simply Elegant team after several years as an event planner and floral designer. With a background in customer service and project management, Ashlee is a logistics queen! Paired with her floral design skills, I know Ashlee will be a great fit and help manage the behind the scenes details and operations of the business, while also assisting with floral design for our many weddings and events.

Ashlee and I have worked together since mid-May and have so far completed 11 weddings, several social events including rehearsal dinners, engagement parties, baby showers and more!
To mark the next phase of Simply Elegant Floral Designs, Ashlee and I celebrated with a fun photoshoot by Mikkel Paige Photography -- because together the sky's truly the limit! Stayed tuned, because we'll have much more from our shoot soon!
